Veterans alum Cortez Broughton gets the NFL call
Position changes throughout his career probably lowered his stock a little bit, but Cortez Broughton still had a stellar career on the defensive line at Cincinnati. He hoped an NFL team would call him on the final day of the draft, and his hopes became reality in the final round.
He was picked by the Los Angeles Chargers, employer of Perry grad Casey Hayward.

Many Falcons fans not paying up
Atlanta Falcons fans have defaulted on $30 million in personal seat license fees since the team moved into Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that $236 million of $273 million sold are still active.

The Knights, 20-7 in conference play and 36-12 overall, play Martin Methodist, Friday’s DH victim, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. MGSU is 10th nationally.
