Bleckley County 5, Toombs County 2
          Lane Kitches went 2-for-4 with two RBI from leadoff to lead the Royals, who got a solid pitching night from Steven Knighton, Carson Waters, and Lane Kitchens, teaming for a two-hitter.

Dublin 10, East Laurens 3
          The Irish went down 2-1 after the Falcons’ top of the fifth, but answered with six in the bottom half. Kendell Wade, Jordan Branham, Aldayshein Guyton and Arshon James had two hits each for the Irish, Wade, Branham, and James driving in two runs each. Trent LeRoy needed only 89 pitches for the complete-game win, striking out five with three walks.

          The Vikings rolled in the Region 7-A tournament opener.

Howard 3, Upson-Lee 2, 8 inn.
          Lance White’s 0-1 single to right brought in Collin Blackwell with the game-winner with two outs. Blackwell reached on a two-out single and Jordan Gray followed with one before White’s big shot. Bradley Smith had two hits for the Huskies, while Jake Willis was 2-for-2 for Upson-Lee. Spencer Moon went all the way for Howard, fanning six with a walk and five hits on 111 pitches.

John Milledge 13, Gatewood 3
          Gatewood’s 2-0 lead after one lasted one, JMA scoring four in the second to start the run parade. Carson Dyer went 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI, Brandon Bellflower going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Jacob Prestwood added two hits, with two runs from Taylor Dixon, Patrick McDonel, and Marcus Prestwood. Bryce Johnson had two hits for the Gators.

Jones County 15, Stockbridge 0
          A dozen Greyhounds got hits, led by two-hit games from Colby Gordon, Chase Wright, and Brandin Johnson, Dawson Barnes with four RBI, and Hunter Bryant and Logan McCoy with two each. Gordon scored three times, Chase Wright and Barnes twice each. Gordon threw a four-inning two-hitter.

Mount de Sales 10, Washington-Wilkes 0
          Jackson Nebel was efficient and sharp in a five-inning, three-strikeout two-hitter. The Cavs got two-hit efforts from Landon Jernigan, Micah Hattaway, Andrew Craddock, and Clay Murphy, Jernigan and Steele Bruce driving in two each.

Stratford 11, Marion County 1, 5 inn.
          The Eagles had a quality senior day, getting off to a 4-0 start after one. Waldon Davis, C. Dorsey, and Stetson Hatcher had three hits each, Hatcher driving in three runs and Dorsey two. John Morgan Stanley had two hits and two runs, Davis, Sam Clark, Trey Bumgardner, and Dorsey also scoring two runs each. Dorsey whiffed seven with two walks in the four-hit complete-game win.

Tattnall 11, Lake Oconee 0
          A touchdown’s worth of runs in the first led to a shortened game. BJ Spears went 3-for-4 with two RBI atop the lineup while Kaden Toth and Bo Hatcher bolstered the other end with 2-for-3 games and two RBI each. Trey Ham added two RBI. Hatcher went two and Carter Fink three innings for a two-hit, nine-strikeout, no-walk evening.

 

Soccer

G-FPD 1, Stratford 0
          Madelyn Davis’ goal in the 65th win gave the Vikings the win.

B-Stratford 3, FPD 1
          Austin Cox broke the shutout for FPD with an assist from Jonathan Summerow, Stratford getting goals from James Michael Reeves, Andrew Delves, and Edlin St. Vil.
