          The Bulldogs couldn’t turn a four-hit advantage into enough runs. Nate Howard, Conner Watson, and Eric Snow had two hits each, and Alex Kite drove in three runs.

Jones County 18, Perry 6; Perry 4, Jones County 1
          The Greyhounds went from down 5-3 to up 10-5 with seven in the third in the opener. Logan McCoy went 4-for-5, and Chase Wright had three hits for the Greyhounds, who got two from Dominic Bass, Seth Daniels, Chandler Wooten, Dalton Chapman, and Chase Green en route to 21 hits. Andrew Newhouse, Wade Gordon, and Cam Mashburn had two hits for Perry. In the nightcap, things flipped as Jones County took a 1-0 lead after one on walk, sacrifice, grounder and wild pitch but proceeded to be no-hit by Jayden Chance, who struck out 10 with four walks. Chance, Tanner Knowles, and Colby McClease had two hits apiece for the Panthers.

Mount de Sales 12, Aquinas 1; Mount de Sales 11, Richmond Academy 1
          The Cavs were in control with a 5-1 lead before a 7-run seventh. Jackson Taylor went 4-for-4 with three RBI, and Rossman Diaz added three hits and Andrew Craddock two. Taylor gave up six hits in six innings for the opener win. ARC took a 1-0 lead, and that was it, the Cavs getting more than enough with four in the second. Diaz drove in four runs on two hits, with Craddock getting two hits, two of the 10 Cavs getting a hit. Clay Murphy, Kobe Butts, and Drew Senn teamed for 11 strikeouts and two walks in the one-hitter.

Tattnall 4, Stratford 3
          Trey Ham drove in three runs, but the last was most important, a single to left to bring in Miles Morris from second with the two-out winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Morris reached on a one-out single and moved to second on an error. Ham and Carter Fink had two hits for Tattnall, matched by Stratford’s Waldon Davis and John Morgan Manley.

          Kylie Bass (Jones County) whiffed nine in six innings in the opener for the win, and Mary Wilson Avant (Stratf0rd) struck out five in three innings of relief in the second game.
