Camden Claxton and Nate Howard had three hits, Eric Snow two hits for the Bulldogs. Trippe Moore whiffed six in four innings of the two-hitter, finished off by Snow.
Peach County 5, Crawford County 4
The Trojans won it with three in the bottom of the seventh. A fielder’s choice and two walks loaded the bases, and Eric Johnson’s fly to center brought in one run. After an intentional walk, Chandler Meeks hit the game-winning two-run single to left. Simon Grant had two hits for Peach County.
Rutland 7, Northside 6
A five-run fifth keyed Rutland, which got five RBI and two hits from Aubrey Merritt at leadoff. Javier Rodriguez had two hits for the Eagles.
Veterans 11, Howard 6; Veterans 5, Crisp County 5
Veterans countered Howard’s four-run top of the fourth with five in the bottom half. AJ Simpson had three hits and two RBI for the Warhawks, who got six Ks in three innings from Hunter Varnadoe. Bradley Smith, Collin Blackwell, and Jaylon Clark had two-hit games for Howard. The Warhawks scored three in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good over Crisp County. Clifford Pless led the Warhawks with three hits, Jacob Pierce adding two.
Wheeler County 17, Dublin 7
Dublin’s D was a problem, with 12 errors, leading to 10 unearned runs. Trent LeRoy and Dyllan Metzdorf had two RBI each for Dublin.
