Central Georgia entered Friday night’s GHSA wrestling duals at the Macon Coliseum with four teams left, all in the consolations.
Central Georgia enters Saturday with three remaining, each hoping for the chance to play for third place in their respective classes.
Veterans and West Laurens lost, and dropped down, while Perry won one and Mount de Sales two consolation matches. The Panthers were eliminated by Ridgeland, which now faces West Laurens. MdS takes on Turner County for the right to wrestle for third place against either Mt. Pisgah or Wesleyan.
Veterans goes against Locust Grove to reach the 5A third-place match, and West Laurens
Baldwin, Central, and Lamar County were eliminated.
Consolation semifinals start at 9 a.m. Saturday.
