          The battle of likely playoff teams in 4A and 3A went to the Braves, led by Donte Justice’s 15 points. Jay Simmons chipped in 14 and Torez Hicks 10 to go with a solid defensive night.

          The Chargers couldn’t put away the scrappy Trojans, who entered the game with two wins. Peach County was within two possessions late until Central converted a turnover into points in the final minute to seal it.

          The Eagles picked up the big region win behind a 24-point, eight-rebound night from Jamarcus Thompson. Jermaine Jackson put in 22, Sammy Mike racked up a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double with six blocks, Jadin Daniel pouring in 14 and C.J. Smith 10.

          Travon Walker’s 15-point, 10-rebound double-double led the Knights in the romp, Zyrice Scott adding 12 points, eight assists, and four steals at point. Jarrett Adderton was good for 13 points and six boards. The Knights visit Jones County Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Warner Robins 70, Veterans 42

          The Demons were on point from the start, holding the Warhawks to two first-quarter points and rolling from there in a surprisingly easy home win. Quon Dillard and Jacobi Coleman paced the defending 5A champs with 16 points each, Trevon Williams adding 10.  Horace Johnson had 13 for Veterans. Warner Robins hosts Bainbridge Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
