Monday's Braves Report: Touki OK, offense not so much

Monday's Braves Report: Touki OK, offense not so much

Boston nicks up Toussaint little as offense sputters

Ian Kinsler drove in three runs and Boston ended rookie Touki Toussaint’s day after less than five innings in an 8-2 win over Atlanta.

Boston led 3-2 through seven, then dealt a knockout punch against Atlanta’s bullpen and defense.

A throwing error by Freddie Freeman helped prolong the eighth inning, and the Sox added three in the ninth off of Bryse Wilson.

Boston got three off Toussaint in the fifth, thanks in part to two doubles.

Atlanta was a brutal 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position. The Braves, led by Johan Camargo’s two hits, had only two fewer hits than Boston.
