Rutland visits Kendrick
The winning team is going to be happier than the normal winning team, as a pair of winless teams battle in Columbus.
The Hurricanes and the Cherokees are 0-5 this season, Rutland on an 18-game losing streak and Kendrick on a nine-game skid. Since 2016, Rutland is 2-23 and Kendrick 1-25. Each team’s last win was against the other.
The Hurricanes have outscored the Cherokees 54-20 and given up three fewer points.
Jessie Phelps Jr. had 91 yards rushing and a touchdown for Rutland in last week’s 46-7 loss to Westside.

The interception came in the second quarter, with a 27-yard return.
