Wednesday's Braves Report: deGrom was dabomb, again; and more
deGrom deBlanks de Braves
The good news for Atlanta is that Wednesday was the final time the Braves will see Jacob deGrom, except in the odd mini-nightmare.
He’s out of their line of vision until next year. He ended this year with 10 strikeouts and 0 walks in eight innings as the Mets blanked the Braves 3-0.
deGrom, all of 10-9 now, owns a 1.70 ERA and has given up three runs or less in 29 straight starts. Amazingly, it was the Mets first win for deGrom in six starts.
Sean Newcomb left after five shutout innings.
