 Fort Valley State legend Stan Lomax passes away

          Stan Lomax coached football and basketball at FVSU, his alma mater, and remained in Fort Valley after retirement in the 1970s, staying attached to the Wildcats. He died Sunday. In The Latest Coverage.

 

Falcons eke out win at buzzer over Bucs

          The first half was a nap for Atlanta. The second half, the Falcons woke up.

          Matt Bryant made a 37-yard field goal as time expired to give the visiting Falcons a 34-32 win in what was Dirk Koetter's final game as Buccaneers head coach.

          The field goal was Bryant's second of the game after a 49-yarder in the third quarter and gave the Falcons (7-9) a three-game winning streak to end the season despite trailing 17-0 late in the first half.
