Calmela Mack topped the Raiders with 23 points and three steals, while MaKayla Murray added 12 points and five boards. Markayla Jenkins led the Royals with 13 points and nine boards while Tesa Taylor had 10 points.

The streak dies at 75 straight wins for Upson-Lee, coming in the Cleveland Stroud Basketball Classic at Rockdale to Class 7A Discovery. Hasahnn Reynolds scored 27 to lead the Titans and take tourney MVP honors. Travon Walker had 20 points and 14 rebounds, Zyrice Scott 15 points and six assists, and Jarrett Adderton 14 points and six rebounds. Upson-Lee led 24-11 after one and 35-26 at the half. Discovery stormed ahead to a 51-42 lead after three.

Alex Demmons put up 27 points for the Raiders, who got 16 points from TyQuan Davis and 12 points and six boards from Tory Williams. The Raiders’ 27-16 fourth quarter wasn’t quite enough.

The Bears won their own tournament, although Bleckley County advanced to the final despite losing to Warner Robins, which had to withdraw because of a scheduling issue. Austin Sloan and Kobe Nelson had 10 points each for the Bears, while Nykeem Farrow had 20 points and four rebounds for Bleckley County.

Chavis Mathis went off for 16 points and 16 rebounds to go with two blocks and two steals as the hosts rolled. Jameson Bryant and Chuck Pitts had 10 points each - Bryant adding 10 rebounds and three assists - and Tre Dean and Bryson Wooten 10 each. Willie Northern’s 18 points topped Northside, which struggled to a seven-point fourth quarter as Jones County, which shot 24 of 42, pulled away.
