Wesleyan on wrong end of national record

Wesleyan traveled to Savannah State for the Tigers’ women’s basketball season opener and came back part of an NCAA record, and not in a good way.
Savannah State’s 155-26 win set the record for NCAA Division I margin of victory, overtaking Baylor’s 140-32 win over Wofford in 2016.
According to Savannah State stats, Wesleyan suffered 57 turnovers, was the victim of 44 steals, and was outrebounded 53-22.
It was 41-6 after a quarter.
Jacquece Alston had triple-double 13 points, 12 assists, and 12 steals for SSU, which got 34 points from Heniaya Moton.
