Honor Roll

          The trio of Amanda Bartholomew, Unnbjorg Omarsdottir, and Kai Jeffries of Georgia College were named to U.S. Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region teams.

          Bartholomew earned a second-team spot scored eight goals and had four assists in 13 games this season, before a career-ending injury.

          Omarsdottir and Jeffries made the third team. Omarsdottir and Jeffries made the second team. Omarsdottir, earlier a D2CCA All-Region pick, had four goals and three assists in 21 games played this season. Jeffries had two assists this season and started 20 of 21 games played. ...     

          Former Peach County standout Nausia Woolfolk was named the MVP of the Junkanoo Jam Tournament in the Bahamas after scoring 25 points in the championship game.

          The junior led Florida State to the tourney title win over No. 12/14 Iowa 71-67. She went 8 for 11 at the line and grabbed five rebounds to go with two steals.

          She had eight points and eight rebounds in a 62-45 win over Eastern Kentucky.

          Woolfolk will be back in familiar environments on Dec. 5 when the 6-1 Seminoles visit Mercer.
