Mercer (4-5, 3-3) at Chattanooga (6-3, 4-3)

WNEX-FM 100.9; www.mercerbears.com; www.sportsmic.com; www.gomocs.com; ESPN Plus

Line: Chattanooga by 7 (Sagarin Ratings)

Central Georgians on Chattanooga’s roster: Torrez Finney is a sophomore fullback from Jones County who has played in every game; Khayyan Edwards is a junior linebacker from Westside who is sixth on the team with 41 tackles, tied for second with five tackles for loss, tied for fifth with two sacks  There are 24 Georgians on the roster.

Scouting Report: Chattanooga still has an outside shot at the postseason, sitting a game behind Wofford and a half-game behind a revived Samford and Furman.

The Mocs held Furman to 279 yard of offense last week but lost 16-10. They’re still getting some votes, but need to win out and get some help to remain in playoff contention.

Mercer may have two quarterbacks available, latest starter Harrison Frost and former starter Robert Riddle.

Both teams have been eliminated from the conference race.

“Our goals change,” Mercer head coach Bobby Lamb said Monday at his press conference. “In the team meeting on Sunday, we had to set our new goals. The bottom line is that we have two games left and we've got to try to win out and get to 5-3 in the league. That's not what we wanted [at the start of the season], but that's where we are now. 5-3 in the league has never been done here; we were 4-4 two straight years, so we'd like to go 5-3. It all starts at Chattanooga on the road."

It’s senior day for the Mocs, who are 1-2 against Mercer since reinstatement. The Bears need a win to avoid a losing season. After a 10-2 “debut” year, in the Pioneer Football League, the Bears are 21-22.

This is been the year of the injury for Mercer.

"In my coaching career, I've only had to use my third-string quarterback once, and that was probably back in 1992, if I can remember back that far,” Lamb said. “As far as the number of injuries, sometimes you get a lot of them and sometimes you can get guys back but we just have them week after week after week…it's just one of those things that's hard to explain."

Line: Georgia by 14

Central Georgians on Auburn’s roster: None. There are 32 Georgians on the roster.

Scouting Report: The Auburn-Georgia series is goofy more often than not.

Georgia is, for this series, almost pulling away now, with a 110-point lead in points scored. In a 121-game series.

Auburn has been inconsistent all year in all phases, opening with a win over No. 6 Washington, and then losing to unranked Mississippi State and LSU.

But this is Auburn-Georgia. Expect the unexpected.

ESPN2

Line: Georgia Tech by 3

Central Georgians on Miami’s roster: None. There are eight Georgians on the roster.

Scouting Report: Miami has pretty much crashed and burned after starting off 5-1, losing at Virginia and Boston College and at home to Duke, the first home loss since 2016.

The Jackets, even with some QB juggling, have won four of five, a hiccup to Duke in there.

Tech doesn’t get many night games, so if the Jacket can combined “amped” with “no fumbles,” they could run away with this one.
