Monday's Braves Report (postgame edition)

Homer clinches win for Dodgers over the Braves
Atlanta led 2-1 through four innings, and then five, and then lead went, and the season soon followed.
L.A. took the lead with two runs in the sixth and took control with three in the seventh en route to a 6-2 win over Atlanta to clinch the NLDS.
A crowd of 39,586, more than 1,500 short of capacity on a holiday Monday in good weather and xxx watched the Braves go through seven pitchers and the Dodgers six in a game of just 14 hits.
Pinch-hitter David Freese drove in two runs in the sixth with a single to center. Then Manny Machado followed a single from Justin Turner and walk to Max Muncy with a little-doubt three-run homer to left in the seventh.
The Braves went down in order in the sixth and seventh, then got two-out singles from Ender Inciarte and Charlie Culberson in the eight that went nowhere, although Lucas Duda had a teasingly towering fly ball go foul before flying out to end the inning.
The ninth took 12 pitches, Freddie Freeman ending with a swing and miss on high heat. Freeman went 2-for-4 for Atlanta.
Jonny Venters, who followed starter Mike Foltynewciz (4 IP, 5 Ks, 4 BBs, 1 R, 2 H), got the loss.
