Lee County 24, Northside 7
A 14-0 third quarter put Lee County in control and the Trojans kept the Eagles at bay to stay undefeated. Lee County scored on a 48-yard touchdown pass at the 9:30 mark of the third, and added a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown less than two minutes later. The Trojans added a 3-yard score to seal it with 2:43 left in the game. The Eagles were held to 133 yards offense by Lee County’s highly touted defense, the visitors getting only 260 yards. Lee County had only one more first down, and Northside had the ball for six more minutes.

Veterans 30, Harris County 6
The Warhawks bounced back from last week’s loss with its biggest region win since dumping Harris County 30-7 on Oct. 21, 2016. They got going with an early safety off a blocked punt, and Cyrus Zuell’s nifty 27-yard touchdown run with eight minutes left in the first quarter. Veterans led 23-0 at halftime.
Class 4A
Baldwin 27, Thomson 6
The Braves remained undefeated in region play with their third straight win overall, and set up the 3-4A title game next week against visiting Burke County.
Class 3A
Peach County 73, Rutland 14
The Trojans set a school record for points in a half with 63 en route to the second-most in school history, nine short of the mark set last year against Kendrick. It was the fourth-largest margin of victory in Peach County history.
Pike County 17, Central 15

Dublin 48, Southwest 0
The Irish scored in a variety of ways and set up scores, blocking two punts, one which set up a TD pass from Rodriquez Martin to Tyler Strickland with a second left n the first half for a 35-0 halftime lead.
Monticello 35, Oglethorpe County 0
The Hurricanes kept alive outside playoff hopes with their first shutout since last year’s 34-0 win over Oglethorpe County.
Putnam County 54, Social Circle 35
The War Eagles turned in their third-highest point total, breaking a four-game losing streak. They’d only scored eight points in their last two games.
Class A
Taylor County 31, Hawkinsville 3
The Vikings rolled to their third straight win over the Red Devils, by an average of 32 points.
Schley County 37, Macon County 15
Macon County’s playoff hopes took a hard hit in being held to less than 20 points for the third time this season.
Aquinas 16, Hancock Central 8
Hancock Central gave Aquinas its third-toughest game of the season. Hancock Central led most of the game, taking an 8-3 lead into the fourth quarter. Aquinas took the lead early in the quarter and added insurance late in the game.
Stratford 19, FPD 13
The Eagles started strong and the Vikings finished strong, but the start was stronger than the finish. Stratford took a 17-0 halftime lead only for FPD to come back with a third-quarter TD connection from Harrison Aulds to Coleman Cauley for 40 yards, and then another such connection for 14 yards. Stratford’s defense held FPD to 54 yards rushing and 97 yards passing. Christian Palmer passed for 165 yards for the Eagles.
Tattnall 28, Mount de Sales 17
The Cavs’ perfect season came to end thanks to a strong finish by the Trojans. MdS led 17-14 after Ethan Aler’s 26-yard field goal with 1:46 left in the third quarter. But Tattnall answered barely a half-minute later on Jamal Marshall’s 77-yard scoring run to get the lead back. They added a score with 9:50 left, and kept the Cavs at bay the rest of the way. The Trojans returned the opening kickoff for a score, and the Cavaliers answered nearly four minutes later on Dexter Williams’ 5-yard run. The teams exchanged touchdowns until Aler’s field goal. The Cavs outgained the Trojans 307-264 in total offense, but needed 23 more plays to do it. Williams was held to 76 yards rushing and one touchdown, Jaden Wilson leading MdS with 96 yards on the ground. Marshall had 99 yards for Tattnall.
Washington-Wilkes 50, GMC 6
GMC hadn’t given up 50 since losing 52-21 to Montgomery County to end the 2016 season.

The Trojans cruised, sophomore standout Amaad Foston cracking the 1,000-yard mark for the season with 240 yards, to go with TD runs of 3, 34, and 9. Brandon Bellflower passed for 140 yards – on 13-of-20 passing - and an 18-yard touchdown to Taylor Dixon. The Trojans outgained CC 412-121 and had three times as many first downs in remaining undefeated. JMA led 21-7 at halftime and came out of the locker room with a strong offensive scoring drive to seal it.
Westfield 42, Bethlehem Christian 21
The Hornets exorcised some demons of low scoring with 28 points split between the middle quarters to pull away. Travis McDonald scored on runs of 7, 20, and 7, and Hunter Smallwood added 3-yard and 20-yard scoring runs. Christian Corbett hauled in a 25-yard touchdown pass from Garan Daw. Westfield led 21-14 at halftime, but a 14-0 third quarter led the way to the second win of the year. The Hornets ran 58 times for 417 yards, led by McDonald’s 230 yards on 24, Daw adding 73 on 12. BC was held to 34 yards on 17 rushes, but did pass for 314 yards.
