Macon named top organization in Coastal Plain League
First-year team Macon was named the Coastal Plain League organization of the year Friday.
Many aspects of consideration went into the decision, according to a league release: community involvement, game-day operations, hospitality. Team owners, general managers, umps, players, and league officials vote.
The team is owned by Steve DeLay and Jon Spoelstra.
