Wednesday's Braves Report: Everything worked well; the race; Smoltz can fix baseball; minor-leaguers, and more

Freeman, Acuna, and Teheran lead Braves

Ronald Acuna did it again – this time as the game’s first batter – and Julio Teheran turned in four sizzling and seven solid innings in Atlanta’s 2-1 win at PNC Park.

Freddie Freeman broke a 1-all tie with a deep fly  to left to bring in pinch-runner Adam Duvall for the lead – and with the game-winning – run in the eighth.

Both teams had only three hits. Atlanta batters were struck out eight times.
