Braves get empty power in series finale loss
Ozzie Albies and Freddie Freeman got homers, but nobody was on, and Sean Newcomb struggled in Atlanta’s 7-2 loss to the Dodgers.
Newcomb had a 44-inning homerless streak end in the third, and he gave up five earned runs in less than six innings.

Are the Doom done?
Tucker Sargent of WMGT-TV 41 NBC in Macon reported Sunday that the Georgia Doom are apparently done for the season, as per a a Tweet from the commissioner of the American Arena League by way of the Arena Football Insider.
“The Georgia Doom informed the league they are opting out of the playoffs. We will follow up as soon as we have more information.”
