Brentwood 9, Brookwood 1

          Nine runs in the middle innings lifted Brentwood, which had only 5 hits, 2 from Jay Musselwhite and from Will Ahrens, who had 4 RBI. Colby Johnson and Mathan Lindsey threw 3 innings each and gave up 3 hits, Lindsey fanning 4.

Central 8, Peach County 6

          The teams exchanged 5-run innings, but Central had just enough before and after in a game of 12 errors and 13 hits. Charles Jackson had 2 hits and 2 RBI for Central, Keenan Gibson scoring 3 times. Britt Davis went 3-for-4 for Peach County, Simon Grant 2-for-3. Cole Shelton got the win in relief.

Crawford County 9, Pacelli 4

         The Eagles survived 5 errors, thanks to Pacelli's 7. Matthew Broughton went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 runs for Crawford County, while Marcus Clayton added a 2-for-3 night. Cody Guidry had 7 strikeouts in the complete-game win.

Dodge County 9, East Laurens 2

          Chandler Davis, Tyler Pruett, and Chip Burch had 2 hits each, and teamed for 8 runs and 7 RBI for the Indians, who got 11 Ks in 5.2 innings from Pruett.

Houston County 9, Lee County 2; Lee County 4, Houston County 3

          Six runs in the sixth, keyed by a 3-run triple from Chandler Dawson, broke open a close game. Jacob Profit had 3 hits and 2 RBI, the Bears taking advantage of 3 errors. Cam Jones went 6.2 innings for the first-game win. The Bears tied the second game with a run in the bottom of the seventh, but the Trojans won it in the 10th on an error that allow the Trojan batter to reach second, followed by an RBI single to left. The Bears, who had 5 errors and gave up 3 unearned runs, got a leadoff single by Corbet Luna in the bottom of the inning, but were then retired in order. Luna had 3 hits and Jacob Profit 2. Starter Chandler Ring sat down 9 batters on strikes in 6 innings.

John Milledge 9, Valdwood 4

          The Trojans got plenty early with 7 in the first 3 innings. Caleb Rogers led the way with 2 hits, while Jared Prestwood had 2 RBI. Cody McCrary went 5.1 for the win.

Lamar County 3, Monticello 2

          Michael King's 2-out, 2-strike single to left brought in Jonah Stout with the game-winner in the top of the seventh. They had 2 hits each. Stout gave up a walk to open the bottom of the seventh, and then retired the Hurricanes in order.

Manchester 8, Taylor County 2

          Manchester broke open a close game with 5 in the seventh, and Taylor County managed 2 in the bottom half. Carter Albritton and Connor Tharpe had 2 hits each for the Vikings.

Rutland 12, Kendrick 2

          The Hurricanes sealed their fourth straight win with 5 in the second. Riley Jones went 3-for-3 with a homer and 5 RBI, Wesley Key adding 2 hits and 2 RBI. Triston Thompson and Jonathan Harnist each had 2 RBI. Bryce Martin struck out 7 in 5 innings. Matthew Deloach whiffed 8 with a walk in 5 innings for Taylor County.

Stratford 3, Mount de Sales 1

          A 2-run fourth was enough for the Eagles in the pitchers' duel of only 7 hits overall. Stratford's fourth-inning runs came on  singles from Charlie Giles and Trey Giles, a grounder and error. Sammy Martin had 13 strikeouts and 3 walks in the complete-game win.

Upson-Lee 8, Perry 3

          The Knights scored 5 in the second and won despite being outhit. Logan Spivey and Turner Maddox had 2 hits each for Upson-Lee, Maddox driving in 4 runs. Alex Blount had 4 Ks and no walks in the complete-game win. Andrew Newhouse, Beau Bryant, and John Micah Law had 2 hits each for Perry.

Veterans 4, Thomas County Central 2; Veterans 8, TCC 2

          TCC scored 2 in the top of the sixth for the lead only for Veterans to put 3 across in the bottom half and then hold on in the seventh in the opener. The Warhawks scored on  Matthew Nunez's single, Jackson Williams' sac fly, and Bobby Jury's single. Ben Gibbs went 5 innings and Derek Wylie the last 2. The Warhawks eased away late in the nightcap, with twice as many runs as hits, TCC walking 8 Warhawks and committing 3 errors, all leading to 5 unearned runs. Starter Daniel Hawthorne whiffed 8 in 5 innings. Wylie had 2 RBI for Veterans, which clinched the Region 1 regular-season championship.

          The Warhawks won yet another region title with the offensive victory.

B-Veterans 5, Harris County 0

          The Veterans boys made it a sweep for the day, and a sweep of Region 1 titles.

          Shayne Cannon fanned 8 with no walks in the 5-inning complete-game opener win. Chandler Abney and Cody Dennis had 2 hits for the Royals, benefactors of 11 walks. Jack Fernandez and Carter Raffield had 2 RBI each. Fernandez drove in 5 runs in the nightcap, 4 on a grand slam. Sam Knighton and Lane Kitchens had 2 hits each, Kitchens adding 2 RB, as did Steven Knighton. Cameron Thompson and Kitchens had 7 Ks and no walks in the nightcap. Vincent McCartney had 2 hits for the Raiders.

Brookwood 4, John Milledge 3

          JMA's comeback with 2 in the sixth was just short. Cody McCrary was 2-for-2 for JMA, which got a quality 5 innings from Colton Brewer.

Mount de Sales 16, Putnam County 2

          The Cavs went up 8-0 after two, and dominated. Kobe Butts gave up 2 hits on 6 Ks and 1 walk. Jackson Nebel went 4-for-4 with 3 runs. Rossman Diaz drove in 4 runs on a 3-for-5 game. Andrew Craddock and Walker Schofield teamed for 4 hits and 4 RBI for the Cavs, who had 18 hits.

Schley County 18, GMC 8

          GMC was within 3 until a 5-run fifth and seventh by Schley County. GMC hurt itself with 7 errors. Cory Bivins went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI for GMC, Justin Alford adding 2 hits.

Tattnall 10, Wilkinson County 0

          The Trojans used 8 walks to go with 9 hits. Trey Ham and Luke Laskey had 2 hits each for the Trojans, boosted by an 11-strikeout, 5-inning night from Dawson Brown.

Taylor County 6, Lamar County 2

          The ranked Vikings got all they needed with 3 in the third, and won despite only one hit. Lamar County had 2 errors, but gave up 7 walks and hit 3 batters.. Gunnar Watson, who had the lone hit, struck out 12 with no walks in 7 innings.

          Maggie Davis had 4 goals, while Sadie Frame, Elizabeth Nelson, Molly Lee, Lindsay Strickland, and Jansyn Samples added goals. Samples and Peavy had 2 assists each.

          Noah Lyu had 2 goals for the Vikings, who got scores from Robert Johnson, Jonathan Summerow, Henry Middlebrooks, Stephen Summerow, and Austin Cox.

          The Eagles struggled defensively with 9 errors and had 3 fewer hits. Javier Rodriguez and Austin Mathews had 2 hits for the Eagles.

          A pair of 6-run innings gave the Hurricanes plenty of room. Tyler Wages and Mac Barton had 3 hits each, Barton driving in 3 runs. Braden Lynch had 2 hits and 2 RBI.

Ola 7, Monticello 3

          Tristan Humphreys had 2 of Monticello's 5 hits.

Spalding 10, Howard 0

Upson-Lee 7, Perry 4

          The Knights put 4 across in the fourth to take control, and they were helped by 5 errors. U-L got the runs on a walk, fielder's choice, error, walk, and two singles, then a fly out and another error. Trace Parb and Chance Gamble each had 2 hits for U-L, Gabe Pollard adding 2 RBI. Andrew Newhouse and John Micah Law had 2 hits each for Perry. Cotton Phillips fanned 6 in 6.1 innings for the Knights.

Washington County 3, Dublin 2

          Jackson Smith led off the sixth with a single, advanced on a walk and scored the eventual game-winner on Jackson Lanthrip's single to left. The Golden Hawks were outhit 9-4, but the Irish stranded 3 more runners.

West Laurens 10, Mary Persons 4

          West Laurens put 7 on the board in the fourth. The Raiders got 2-hit efforts from Guy Anderberg, Jacob Floyd, Sam Riner, Jalen Baker, and Paul Kellam, and a complete-game win from Floyd. Aaron Mock, Christian Knight, and Trippe Moore had 2 hits each for Mary Persons.

Dennis, Steven Knighton had 2 hits each for the Royals, who got 9 Ks from Tripp Purser in 6 innings of relief. Jackson Smith went 3-for-3 with a homer and Bailey Vickers drove in 3 runs for the Golden Hawks.

          The Falcons scored 5 in the first and 9 in the next two, the Patriots storming back with 9 in the fourth. Cam Oliver led the Falcons with 3 hits and 3 runs, Seth Newsome adding 2 hits and 4 runs. Alex Muns drove in 3 runs and Ryan Mimbs 2.

FPD 10, Westfield 1

          Harrison Aulds and Gavin Bloodworth each went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and 2 runs, and Tyler Mimbs had 2 hits for the Vikings on Senior Night. Michael Bakkar had 8 Ks and 2 BBs in 6.2 innings.

Hawkinsville 1, Taylor County

          Bryce Muckerson drove in Jay Bentley with the game-winner in the fourth for the Red Devils on an infield grounder, and Jacob Cody gave up only a double and hit batter the rest of the way to make it hold up in an 11-strikeout performance. Jay Bentley had 2 hits for Hawkinsville and Gunnar Watson 2 for Taylor County.

Lamar County 10, ACE 9

Lee County 13, Houston County 3

          A 7-run second propelled Lee County, aided by 3 Houston County errors. Cam Jones, RJ Preston, and Logan Morris each had 2 hits for the Bears.

Monticello 11, Putnam County 0

          Matt Cain had 6 strikeouts and no walks in throwing a 1-hitter for the Hurricanes, who made it a shortened game with 6 in the third. Mac Barton had 2 hits and 2 RBI.

Rutland 12, Kendrick 2

          Aubrey Merritt kept the Canes rolling with a 3-for-4 game from the leadoff spot, adding 3 runs and 3 RBI on a triple and homer. Jonathan Harnist added 3 RBI and 2 runs, Taylor Brummett 2 hits and Dalton Rowell 2 RBI. Peyton McKinney sat down 9 Kendrick batters with 2 walks in 6 innings for the complete-game win.

Stratford 17, Mount de Sales 7

          Carson Dorsey had a monster game with 3 hits, 5 RBI and 2 runs, while Trey Giles went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and 3 runs. Trey Bumgardner and Sammy Martin added 2-for-3 games, Martin with 2 RBI. Andrew Craddock had 2 hits and 2 RBI for MdS.

Tattnall 13, Wilkinson County 1

          Brooks Gorman and Logan Fink drove in 3 runs each, Gorman joining Trey Ham and BJ Spears with 2 hits, Logan Simmons going 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs. The Trojans led 5-0 before  5-run fourth. Fink struck out 7 with 3 walks and 2 hits in the 5-inning game.

Veterans 9, Jones County 7

          Eight runs were unearned, thanks to 6 errors, and Veterans also took a little advantage of 7 walks. Both teams stranded 7. Veterans' 3-run sixth was the clincher, keyed by Derek Wylie's 2-run homer.

Wylie went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and 3 runs, Ben Gibbs and Matthew Nunez adding 2 hits each. Jackson Mix and Brandin Johnson each scored twice for Jones County.

Warner Robins 16, Westside 4

          The Demons led 14-4 after three, thanks to some of Westside's 10 errors. Of course, the Demons had 6. Blake Ethridge and Andrew McGee each went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI for the Demons. Robert Smith and Victor Nino added 2 hits and Cameron Burks 2 RBI. Ethridge fanned 8 in 4.2 innings.

          Chet Thompson was hit by a pitch, advanced to third on a sacrifice and grounder, and came in with the game-winner on Gavin Bloodworth's single to left with 2 outs. Bloodworth had a monster night with 5 hits in 7 at-bats, and 3 RBI. Hudson Mimbs, Ryan Jones, and Garrett West each had 2 hits, and Dalton Cox and Parker Ingram had 2 RBI each. Tyler Mimbs sat down GW in order in the bottom of the 11th.

Jeff Davis 4, Bleckley County 2

          A 3-run fourth put Jeff Davis on top for good, the Royals unable to take much advantage of three JD errors. Brody Little had 3 hits and Sam Knighton added 2 for the Royals.

Johnson County 14, Dublin 6

          Dublin had a 6-1 lead after 4, but Johnson County  scored 5, 4, and 4 in the final 3 innings, also taking advantage of 4 Irish errors. Torian Holder had 3 hits and Triquavious Moye 2 RBI for Dublin.

Luella 5, Monticello 2

          Monticello couldn't take advantage of 8 walks, getting only 6 hits and stranding 12 runners.

Perry 6, Upson-Lee 4, 9 inn.

          The teams exchanged 2-run eighth innings and Perry won it in the top of the ninth. Jacob Hunt's double to left brought in  Andrew Newhouse and John Micah Law with the game-winners, Newhouse getting a walk and Law getting hit. Justin Eckman then got the Knights out fairly quickly, surviving a two-out error. Cayden Hairrington had 3 hits and Law 2, Hunt and Trevor Dykes driving in 2 runs each. Gabe Pollard and Cotton Phillips each had 2 hits for Upson-Lee.

Spalding 12, Howard 0

West Laurens 7, Mary Persons 5; West Laurens 12, Mary Persons 1

          The Raiders got the game-winning runs in the sixth, and held off the Bulldogs, who got 5 runs on 3 hits. Jalen Baker and Carson Estep had 2 hits each for WL, Estep adding 2 RBI. There was no such suspense in the nightcap, the Raiders getting 11 in the fourth and fifth innings. Guy Anderberg and Nolan Daniel each had 3 hits, Anderberg driving in 3 runs. Daniel struck out 4 with no walks in 5 innings for the win.
