College Baseball: Perry alum Gentry gives Georgia College the walk-off

Sophomore Cal Gentry struck out three times, but came up big with a walk-off single to give No. 29 Georgia College a 2-1 win over No. 25 UNC Pembroke.

Gentry, a sophomore from Perry, came up with the two-out hit to score Garrett Green, who singled and moved to second on a walk.

The hit made a nifty starting performance from Charlie Hecht avoid being wasted. Hecht gave up 10 hits in 7.2 innings, but fanned 6 going deep into the game. Bradly Cammack got out of an eighth-inning situation and cruised through the ninth for his sixth win.
