Mercer men run into buzzsaw at North Texas
North Texas came into the game with a losing record and left having handed Mercer its worst loss in awhile, scoring more points against the Bears in regulation than anybody since Vanderbilt a few years ago.

She is the first Bobcat to get the honor since West Laurens grad Faith Flanders got it last March. ...
Trey Truitt is among Collegiate Baseball's national players of the week.
The Mercer outfielder had 4 homers and 2 doubles last week, driving in 14 runs and scoring 8. He has hit in 13 straight, with at least 2 hits in seven straight.
The senior is also the new Southern Conference player of the week, thanks to the .588 week.
