Mercer men come back late and pull of CBI win on the road

          Grand Canyon struggled from the floor and Mercer got warm late for a 78-73 win before a road crowd of 5,941.

          Jordan Strawberry and Ross Cummings teamed for 42 points and 9 assists for Mercer, which was 10 of 20 on 3-pointers.

 

 

Ex-Mercer coach cut loose at Georgia State

          Sharon Baldwin, who turned one winning season at Mercer into better jobs, was fired Tuesday at Georgia State.

          Baldwin, a Georgia grad, was 88-152 at Georgia State, after going 149-126 at East Carolina and 16-13 at Mercer, coming from Life U. in Marietta.

 

 

College Baseball: Mercer rolls past Georgia Southern

          A 5-run eighth lifted Mercer to an 11-8 win Wednesday over visiting Georgia Southern, keeping the Bears undefeated against in-state teams.

          Mercer improved to 13-5, while GSU fell to 7-10.

 

College Baseball: Mississippi cruises to big win at Georgia State

          A day after pulling off a 2-run win, No. 6  Mississippi doubled Georgia State in hits en route to a 16-2 win.

          Mississippi held on for a 5-3 win Tuesday, but got all it needed with 4 runs in the first.
