Mercer women don't have far to go or much scouting to do for NCAA Tournament opener

          Playing a perennial NCAA Tournament team was automatically going to be tough for Mercer, but the Bears got a break Monday night.

          Georgia Tech's women will keep playing, and start off doing so at home.

Central Georgia Tech's men ready for national tournament

          Central Georgia Tech has a week to get ready for its debut on the national junior college basketball stage.

          The Titans found out around lunchtime Monday that they're the 21st seed in the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament, and will play 12th-seed Connors State of Oklahoma.

          They'll play on Monday at 9:30 p.m. in Hutchinson, Kansas, with the winner facing Coffeyville on Wednesday.

          CGTC began competing in basketball in 2010-11.
