Central Ga. Tech in GCAA championship Saturday

Central Georgia Tech takes on South Georgia Tech today at 3 p.m. in Rome for the Georgia College Athletic Association Region 17 men’s basketball title.
The Titans beat South Georgia State 91-85 on Friday in a semifinal, sparked by a 17-14 second-half run.
Jawaun Daniels led the Titans with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Juvante Hayes had 13 points and 3 assists, DeJon Waters 12 points and 7 boards, and Anyeuri Castillo 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
The championship teams split during the regular season. SGT won 9-84 in overtime on Jan. 3, and the Titans got revenge with a 93-72 win on Feb. 3.
South Georgia Tech beat East Georgia State 91-69 and Georgia Highlands 103-99 in the tournament, while CGTC topped Albany Tech 76-54 before the semifinal win.
