Aquinas 5, Tattnall 0

            It was a bad day for the Trojans, with a pair of losses and the rare shutout. Tattnall kicked it around with 4 errors, and Miles Morris got the lone Trojan hit.

Bleckley County 2, Lassiter 0

            Sam Knighton didn't get much offense, but he didn't need much with a quality complete game, with 4 strikeouts and no walks in front of error-free defense. Andrew Butler and Joseph Spire drove in the Royals' runs.

Bowdon 17, Howard 16

            A walk, single, 2 fielder's choice grounders, and a pair of singles gave Bowdon the walk-off win. Scott Campbell, Collin Blackwell, Bradley Smith, Jonathan Jones, and Logan Harris had 2 hits each for Howard. Blackwell drove in 3 runs, while Campbell, Trent Brown, Lance White and Harris had 2 RBI apiece. Howard had 3 errors, but couldn't take advantage of 5 Bowdon miscues.

Bowdon 13, Peach County 8
    Bowdon scored 12 runs in innings 4-5-6 to pull away in a game of phenomenal defense, in that Bowdon had 10 errors and Peach County 7, as per reported to Gamechanger, leading to 14 unearned runs. Eric Johnson was 3-for-5 with 2 runs and 2 RBI for the Trojans, Simon Grant adding 2 hits and 2 runs.

            Bowdon scored 12 runs in innings 4-5-6 to pull away in a game of phenomenal defense, in that Bowdon had 10 errors and Peach County 7, as per reported to Gamechanger, leading to 14 unearned runs. Eric Johnson was 3-for-5 with 2 runs and 2 RBI for the Trojans, Simon Grant adding 2 hits and 2 runs.

East Laurens 17, Laney 1; East Laurens 15, Laney 8

            Gavin Donaldson and Cuyler Morris each had 2 hits and teamed for 7 RBI for the Falcons, who got 2-hit, 2-RBI games from Alex Muns and Jhiquez Lovett in the 4-inning opener. Donaldson kept it going with 5 RBI in the second game, Seth Newsome, Chase Oliver, Ryan Mimbs, Muns and Chaise Donaldson each driving in a pair. Oliver, Gavin Donaldson and Lovett each had 3 hits, Newsome, Morris, Mims, Muns and Chaise Donaldson with 2 hits each in the 20-hit game.

FPD 21, Savannah Country Day 8; FPD 5, SCD 2

GMC 11, Oglethorpe County 3

            Five in the second was enough for the Bulldogs, who added 6 in the fourth. Justin Alford had 3 hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBI, while Carson Knowles also had 3 hits. Mason Seymour and Jacob Marshal added 2 hits each. Bulldog pitchers Cory Bivins and Grayson Hodges gave up only one hit, but surrendered 6 walks to 4 strikeouts.

Houston County 7, Milton 3

            Cam Jones had 2 hits and Jackson Jones 3 RBI for the Bears, while orbet Luna and Logan Morris also scored twice. Two runs in fifth and sixth did it for the Bears, who got solid pitching from Chandler Ring (4 IP) and Jaden Woods (3 IP).

Jackson 19, Mount de Sales 6

            The Cavs had 13 hits, only one less than Jackson, but stranded a dozen runners. Jackson led 5-2 after three, 10-4 after 4 and then put 8 across in the top of the seventh. Walker Schofield had 3 hits for MdS, while Rossman Diaz, Carson Riley and Micah Hattaway had two each.

Jenkins County 6, Dublin

            Dublin scored 3 in the bottom of the seventh, but Jenkins County scored 3 in the top and that was enough. The Irish, who had 3 errors, got 2 hits from Montarion Carswell - a homer and double - and Zion Washington.

Marietta 5, Houston County 4

            Things were good for the Bears through 5 innings, with a 4-0 lead. But Marietta put up 5 in the sixth - sparked by 2 doubles and a triple - for the win. Starter Chandler Dawson fanned 7 and walked 4 in 5 innings, leaving with a 1-hitter.

Mary Persons 10, Northside 4; Mary Persons 14, Northside 1

            A 3-run third put the Bulldogs on top for good in the first game, the offense led by JD Richards' 3 hits and 3 RBI. Trippe Moore, Austin Mock, Aaron Mock and TJ Sauls added 2 hits apiece, and Moore whiffed 7 with no walks in the complete-game win. Javier Rodriguez had 2 hits and Hunter Price 2 RBI for the Eagles. Mary Persons put up a whopping 13 runs in the fifth inning of a 1-1 nightcap, helped by 4 Eagle errors. Austin Mock had 4 RBI, while Aaron had 2 hits and 2 runs, Cam Agnew getting 2 hits and 3 runs. Garrett James went the distance for the win.

Peach County 5, Howard 4

            Jake Wingo drove in 3 runs with 3 hits to lead the Trojans, who put 3 across in the fifth to win. Wingo had a 2-run double in the key inning for Peach County, which was outhit 8-5 by Howard.

Shaw 8, Upson-Lee 4

            Trace Park and Chance Gamble had 2 hits each and Turner Maddox drove in 2 runs for the Knights, who stranded 10 runners.

Strong Rock Christian 4, Mount de Sales 3

            Walker Schofield had 3 hits, and Rossman Dias and Andrew Craddock 2 each, but the Cavs wasted a 10-hit game, losing on a two-out walk-off single to right.

Tattnall 4, Oconee County 2

            Logan Fink had the big hit with a three-run double in the fifth for the Trojans in a game where both teams had 5 hits and 2 errors. Fink struck out 5 with no walks in 5 innings, Brooks Gorman throwing the final 3 for the save.

Upson-Lee 8, Callaway 3

            Gabe Pollard and Chance Gamble had 2 hits each, and Brooks Gulley drove in 2 runs for the Knights, who got all they needed with 5 in the first. Starter and winner Cotton Phillips gave up 10 hits in 6 innings, but kept Callaway away from the plate.
