Dylan Fromm of Warner Robins and Bo Lawson of Dooly County were named offensive players of the year in their respective classes in the Georgia Sports Writers Association all-state teams.

Fromm topped the list in Class 5A and Lawson in Class A public.

The GSWA split the Class A teams and had a first team and honorable mention, while there was a second team in all the other classifications.

Fromm finished fifth among quarterbacks in the state in passing yardage of those teams providing stats to Maxpreps. He was 289 of 455 for 3,505 yards with 35 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Lawson made the GSWA team as athlete as the Bobcats’ electrifying dual threat quarterback.

Lawson, a junior like Fromm, was 23rd statewide in passing yards with 2,543, completing 128 of 198 with 35 touchdowns and five interceptions in 11 games.

He also ran for 1,574 yards and 15 touchdowns, with eight games of at least 100 yards.

After the GSWA list is a rerun of the Central Georgians making the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Recruit Georgia all-state teams.

Recruit Georgia added honorable mentions to its teams on Sunday, but didn’t list the individual school with the names. This story will be updated after matching schools to players in hopes of avoiding omissions. Check back Monday afternoon.
