Mary Persons’ grad Williams joins Seattle

          Former Mary Persons standout Dee Williams has signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent.

          The fourth-team Phil Steele All-American was one of the nation’s top return specialist, averaging a school record 15.4 yards per punt return and breaking a record set from 1949-51, and averaged 21.1 yards per kickoff return, in 22 games in two seasons

          He was among the top defensive backs coming out of East Central Community College in Mississippi, after returning four of his six interceptions for touchdowns as a senior at Mary Persons.

          Vols teammate Aaron Beasley, a Heard County grad, also signed with Seattle.
