Rough second day for Henley and Scheffler
The bad news for Russell Henley and Scottie Scheffler was thathe second day of the Presidents Cup wasn’t much like the first.
For them or their U.S. team.
The good news for the duo was that they turned in the best effort in a losing cause as the International team countered a 5-0 loss on Thursday with a 5-0 win on Friday.
Three of the foursome matches were blowouts: 7&6, 6&5, and 5&4. Henley and Scheffler as well as Max Homa and Brian Harman were competitive in 1 up losses.
The format Friday was alternating shots on each hole, i.e. Henley would tee off, then Scheffler would hit, then Henley, etc., and it alternated each hole.
Henley had the birdie shot on No. 2, No. 7, and the bogey shot on No. 4.
They lost to Si Woo Kim and Byeong Hun An. The teams exchanged bogeys on No. 4 but Kim-An took the lead with a birdie on No. 13 and won it with a par on the final hole.
Henley isn’t listed to compete in the morning’s four-ball action, Scheffler paird with Collin Morikawa
