          Last week: Movement is coming.

          This week: Movement is here.

In both divisions, albeit not much in Division I. And change will continues, because we’re getting down to it in region action.

Division I (5A, 4A, 3A) 12 teams

5. Jones County

A taking-care-of-business win over McDonough. The Greyhounds need to get the ground game ging for a playoff run, and McDonough scored its second-highest total of the year.

4. Peach County

A taking-care-of-business win before a scheduled week off.

3. Perry

Poll is out before Monday night’s game with winless Wayne County, so nothing is expected to change.

2. Warner Robins

It was certainly no upset, losing to Benedictine, but it was a surprise that the visitors were in some control from early on.

Rerun from last week: It’s not a huge gap with the top three, but the Demons still get the edge.

1. Houston County

The game with Northside went pretty much as expected, moreso with the starting offense still playing in the fourth quarter.

Division II (2A, A, GIAA) 33 teams

Top 10

10. Tie: Westside, Stratford

9. Tattnall

The Trojans should drop after a pretty subpar outing against Mount de Sales, but there were some defeats here toward the bottom of Division II’s rankings.

8. Macon County

The Bulldogs have turned it around, and are now on target for a region title under first-year head coach Kurt Williams, but they have to avoid a stumble.

7. Hawkinsville

Clutch play and win over Wilcox County now sets up this week’s game against Telfair County for basically second place and a home playoff game in the first round.

6. FPD

Each week, a different part of the Vikings’ game seems to stand out, though defense has been pretty consistent.

5. Jasper County

The defense keeps rolling, but the offense is due for something of a big game, with three big meetings coming up.

4. Lamar County

Ah, a more normal set of stats for the Indians, though the passing game in a big game and the playoffs will be an issue. Defense gave up 80, which is burly.

3. Northeast

The latest step of progress came last week with a nice comeback against Bleckley County.

2. Dodge County

A bit of a struggle with Washington County makes for a little more of a gap behind Dublin and closer to Northeast.

1. Dublin

          Lather, rinse, repeat.
