Veterans won the opener on a walk-off, Katelyn Haines tying it in the seventh with a homer, and Maddy Kinkade doubling in Rayven Rodridge with the one-out game-winner in the ninth. Veterans led 8-7 after four in the nightcap and crept ahead down the stretch, the teams combining for 9 errors. Hailey Maloney, Kharisma White, Maddy Kinkade, and Rayven Hodridge each had 2 hits for Veterans. Ansleigh Darby led Houston County with a 3-for-5 game, with 2 hits each from Hayley McElroy, Claire McArthur, Arianna McKenzie, and Olivia Buffon.
