Alumni Update

Baldwinā€™s Welch has quality Colorado debut

Micah Welch of Baldwin ran for 65 yards on nine carries in Coloradoā€™s 28-9 win Saturday over Colorado State, and earned some praise.

          From USA Today on Sunday:

ā€œFor the second consecutive year, it appears that Colorado's best running back is a true freshman. Dylan Edwards (now at Kansas State) led the Buffs in rushing last season and through three weeks, Micah Welch is doing the same. It took just one game for Welch ā€” who ran for 65 yards on nine carries (7.2 yards per attempt) in his Colorado debut on Saturday night ā€” to prove that he belongs on the field as a first-year player. His physical running style will give the Buffs a legitimate one-two punch at RB once Ohio State transfer Dallan Hayden returns to the lineup.

Warner Robinsā€™ Fromm emerges vs. S.C. State
