Henley enters final round of BMW Championship in top 10

Nobody will describe Russell Henley or his game as flashy, or overly unpredictable.
And that’s what Saturday’s round at the BMW Championship was: quiet and steady.
The third round was more solid than the second around and Henley popped back into the top 10 after a 2-under 70 at Castle Pines in Colorado.
He went to the clubhouse in the top 10, with many other contenders still playing. Henley ended the day tied for ninth at 5 under for the weekend.
Henley is with eight others seven shots back of leader Keegan Bradley, who was also 2 under for the third round.
Henley’s only real hiccup came on the final hole, when his tee shot found the left rough, and he just missed a 12-foot par putt for his lone bogey.
He had birdies on No. 4 and 7 and on the par 5 17.
Henley’s accuracy off the tee dropped a little, but it didn’t leave too many marks other than making him work a little harder for some pars.
Henley is tied for second in the tournament in driving accuracy, tied for ninth in scrambling and shots gained total, and is tied for 10th with only six bogeys.
He is in the eighth-to-last pairing to tee off on Sunday, at 12:20 p.m., with Savannah native and co-UGA grad Brian Harman.
