Gracyn Fuller whiffed 17 and had 3 hits in the romp over the previously undefeated Bulloch. J Jones had 2 hits and Alanna Ray 2 RBI. The Vikings took over with 5 in the third.

Harlem 6, ACE 2; Vidalia 9, ACE 7

ACE pulled within 3-2 in the top of the sixth only for Harlem to answer with 3. Avery Stone had 2 hits for the Gryphons, who dug a 5-1 hole after 2 against Vidalia and tried to rally with 4 in the sixth. ACE suffered 5 errors to counter 12 hits. Stone led with 3 hits.

Tattnall 6, Wayne County 4; Tattnall 20, Strong Rock 6

The Trojans led 6-2 after two and held on despite being outhit 9-6. Molly Kemp had 2 hits for Tattnall in the opener. Gradie Appling went off in the second game with 2 homers and 7 RBI. Callie Still and Kemp had 2 hits each and teamed for 9 RBI. Anna Still and Abigayle Baugh had 2 hits each.

Henley falls from contention at FedEx St. Jude

The third round of the FedEx. St. Jude Championship was fairly forgettable for Russell Henley.

The Stratford grad’s efficiency in the first two rounds stayed there, and he shot a 3-over 73 to eliminate chances for a Sunday surge.

Henley is tied for 45th with seven others with a 1-over 209, far back of leader Hideki Matsuyama at 17 under.

An early bogey didn’t do any damage, Henley reeling off eight straight pars. The birdies needed to move up were absent until No. 17, after two more bogeys, and Henley finished the day with another after finding water on his tee shot and taking a penalty.

That came after dropping a 14-footer for a birdie, and after near-miss on par-5 16 when he came close to a birdie.

Henley tees off at 9:40 a.m., with Sungjae Im.
