Bleckley County’s Amarius Mims: Past, present, future

Bengals take OT Amarius Mims in the NFL draft as Cincinnati seeks better protection for Joe Burrow

ESPN- Post-Draft Analysis

After signing Trent Brown to a one-year contract, the Bengals now have their heir apparent on the right side in Mims. He has not surrendered a sack in 372 career pass-blocking snaps. Mims has the potential to be an early starter if he's able to remain healthy.
Overall value: Perfect range. Four offensive tackles have already come off the board and Mims is the best available. In fact, he is the No. 22nd overall player on the board and ranked one spot ahead of JC Latham who went No. 7 overall to the Titans.

CBS Sports
To me, Mims is feast or famine pick. He can be a star, but he also has some limitations because he hasn't played a lot of football. This could pay off in a big way, but it's risky.

YahooSports
Love this pick! Mims did not play a whole bunch of football in college due to injury and depth, but he is not lacking for talent and skill. He has the size at 6-foot-8 and 340 pounds with the technique of the purest pass protectors in the NFL. If he can stay healthy, he’ll have no problem assimilating to the NFL.
