Around/About Central Georgia

Henley in logjam atop Arnold Palmer

The putting struggles slowly dissipated, and soon, Russell Henley was in a tie for first with two others.

By the end of the second round of the Arnold Palmer, Henley was joined three others for a six-way tie for first after two rounds.

Henley is locked up with Shane Lowry, Hideki Matsuyama, Brian Harman, Wyndham Clark, and Scott Scheffler, all at 7 under.

Low scores are tough to come by, with Clark’s 6-under the best of the day. Henley at 3-under, with almost two dozen at 2 or 1 under.

Henley’s lone bogey came on No. 9, when he was just off on a makeable 15-foot putt. He birdied two of the three par-5s, with two birdies on the front and back nine, but it wasn’t the smoothest day.

          For many.

Tommy Fleetwood had a comical No. 6, hitting three straight shots into water for a 10, en route to 80, matched by Collin Morikawa.
