Kennesaw State’s Bohannon next at Macon TD CLub
Tenth-year head coach Brian Bohannon of Kennesaw State is Monday night’s speaker at the Macon Touchdown Club.
The club meets at the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, in the Rumford Center, at 304 Pierce Ave. It starts at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and the program to begin around 7. Admission for non-members is $30. Membership for the year is $250.
Fort Valley State head coach Shawn Gibbs is next week’s speaker, followed by Mercer’s Mike Jacobs a week later.
Bohannon became KSU’s first head coach in March of 2013 to start the program at Kennesaw State, and he’s had the Owls winning ever since, bringing a 71-30 record to town.
The Owls are 0-4 in their first year on the FCS level as a member of Conference USA.
The 53-year-old Macon native and Griffin grad played at and graduated from Georgia, and has a Master’s from West Georgia. He has coached at Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Navy, West Georgia, and Gardner-Webb.
The Owls have a several Central Georgians on the roster: RB Preston Daniels, Washington County; RB Qua Ashley, Dublin; OL Trey Butts, Mount de Sales, So.; DL Marlo East Jr., Washington County; LB Ramontie Dardy, Dublin.
