Division I (5A, 4A, 3A) 12 teams

5. Jones County

The Greyhounds took care of business, and have all but clinched third in the region en route to, likely, another eight-win regular season.

4. Peach County

The Trojans had the week off.

3. Perry

Last Monday’s game against Wayne County went as expected.

2. Warner Robins

The Demons had the week off.

1. Houston County

The Bears had the week off.

Division II (2A, A, GIAA) 33 teams

Top 10

10. ACE Charter

It wasn’t a pretty win over East Laurens, but if the Gryphons have found their third starting running back and can just get better in a few areas, they might squeeze into a home playoff game.

9. Westside

The Seminoles have a losing record, but they’ve played some pretty decent football three of the last four weeks.

8. Tattnall

Still tough to figure, yes, but less so each week. The Trojans are something of a just-find-a-way team each week, and there’s a burly showdown coming in two weeks, but they better not overlook John Milledge, due for a threatening game.

7. Macon County

The Bulldogs were off last week, a break amid a 3-game winning streak.

6. FPD

The most consistent team in GIAA is on a roll, and pretty steady in all areas.

5. Jasper County

The Purple Hurricanes were off last week.

4. Lamar County

Hammering a first-year program as badly as it was expected still doesn’t give an indication of how good the Trojans are.

3. Northeast

There was plenty of positive in the loss at Dublin, but the Indians are among the teams needing to expand the offensive threats down the stretch and in the postseason.

2. Dodge County

The Indians were off after a bigger struggle with Washington County than expected.

1. Dublin

Northeast was doubled up in some stats, but had two chances late to make it even closer than 10 points. A good finish for Dublin against its first quality competition of the season, but things get tougher now.
