Games of the week

No. 2 Benedictine, 2-2, at No. 6 Warner Robins, 5-1/1-0
We’d have a little better idea about Benedictine if its game with Ohio powerhouse Moeller three weeks ago wasn’t cancelled. But it doesn’t appear the Cadets are necessarily down at 2-2. The Demons have stayed on schedule with the weather, and don’t discount that. The Cadets pass more than run, while Warner Robins – which doesn’t post stats on MaxPreps – is balanced. The Demons have won 8 of their last 10 at home.
TSR pick: Warner Robins by 3

Bleckley County, 2-3/1-3, at No. 7 Northeast, 4-1/4-0
It’s pretty much a must-win for the Royals, trying to climb into the top half of the region and break a mighty surprising two-game losing streak. Their losses are by 3, 1, and 4, so this is a pretty good 2-3 team that’s due to finish. They’ll have a size and speed disadvantage in trying to slow down Northeast’s Nick Woodford and Reginald Glover.
TSR pick: Northeast by 19

Stratford, 6-1/1-0, at First Presbyterian, 6-1/1-0
This should be a superb game, both teams with balance on offense and playmakers all over the place. A back and forth game with a few slugfest lulls may come down to kicking, and the big edge there goes to Stratford and Stebin Horne, who may have a kickoff through the goalposts before the end of the season.
TSR pick: Stratford by 4
