The Gryphon put it away early, getting all 17 runs in the first two innings of both games. ACE walked 12 times in the first game, and no Gryphons struck out, but only needed two hits. They had eight hits in the nightcap while Jordan had nine errors.

A pitchers duel became a Royals rout with Bleckley County’s seven-run seventh. Riley Haley had three hits and drove in three runs for Bleckley County.

Howard 22, Westside 2

The Huskies more than took care of things with a 20-2 lead after two. They sent 14 to the plate in an unusually long first inning, and 13 in the second. Nakeria Mallory went 2 for 2, including her first homer of the season, in getting all of Howard’s hits. Westside committed seven errors and walked 23 batters, adding five wild pitches and two hit batters. Every Husky in the lineup scored.
