          The Gryphons took the region title with the sweep.

Baldwin 11, Howard 7

          A four-run sixth lifted Baldwin, which took advantage of 14 walks, four, four hit batters, and three wild pitches to roll despite only three hits. Jayden Washington had three hits and David Garnett two for the Huskes, who walked nine times and struck out 10 times.

Bleckley County 15, East Laurens 0

          The Royals scored 10 in the second en route to a 4.5-inning win. Buck Hill had three hits and two RBI from the No. 9 spot n the lineup, Eli Mulls driving in three runs.

FPCA 13, John Hancock 1

FPD 6, Stratford 2

          Four runs in the fifth were the difference. The Vikings pieced together the offense on three hits, eight walks, and three Stratford errors, plus two hit batters and three wild pitches.

Hilton Head Prep 8, Trinity Christian 0

Houston County 10, Tift County 4

          The Bears improved to 20-4 and 1-0, sparked by Chavis Ryker’s grand slam.

          Connor West fanned seven and walked one in five innings, the offense led by Bricen Smith and Kyle Shaughnessy.

Rutland 15, Kendrick 0; Rutland 19, Kendrick 4

          A 10-run first led to a 2.5-inning opener, Rutland needing only two hits, thanks to 12 walks, two hit batters and two wild pitches. Casen Summerday had a three-run triple and Fisher Hopkins a two-run double. The nightcap went three full innings, Rutland opening with a 15-run first.

          Jackson Blakely whiffed 11 with no walks in a complete-game no-hitter in which he needed only 76 pitches. Walker Stevens drove in two runs on two hits for the Knights.

West Laurens 3, Perry 2

          The Raiders held off the Panthers late in the mound dual, West Laurens getting a complete game from Camden Thomas (5Ks, 2 BBs, 4 hits). The Raiders got two in the third on an error, single, walk, sac fly, wild pitch and error.
