          A nine-run fourth ended the first game early. James Fordham had four hits and three RBI, J’Shun Height and Eli Mullis adding three hits each. Mullis whiffed six in the short two-hitter. All the scoring in the nightcap came in the first inning.

Brentwood 12, Edmund Burke 10

Calvary Christian 5, Upson-Lee 3
          Both teams had eight hits, but the Knights were scoreless until the seventh. Jackson Wells and Trace Peaden each had two hits for Upson-Lee.

Crawford County 5, Temple 4

GMC 12, Wilkinson County 2
          A seven-run fifth lifted the Bulldogs, who survived five errors. Christian Black had two hits, with two-RBI nights from Bryce Smith, Jason Heaybeard, and Seth Ussery.

Hawkinsville 12, Treutlen 10
          Three in the sixth gave the Red Devils the lead for good, Hawkinsville aided by four Treutlen errors. Tanner Meeks and Ben Broadnax each had four hits for Hawkinsville, Broadnax with four RBI and Meeks with two. Harlem Phillips added two hits and three RBI.

          The Bears grabbed the region title for the fourth straight year, improving to 23-4 and 13-0.

          Fisher Hopkins was perfect for Rutland in the 4.5-inning game, striking out nine on only 60 pitches. Thanks to five errors and 10 walks, the Hurricanes needed only three hits. The second game lasted five full innings, Rutland holding Northeast to a hit, and taking advantage of 10 walks, two hit batters, a wild pitch, and a balk, while managing five hits.
