          The college football portal period opened on Monday and, of course, exploded.

          Central Georgia alums are doing their part, with several having announced recently their plans to move on:

          RB Amaad Foston, John Milledge, from Virginia; QB Gerald Kilgore, Putnam County, from Tennessee Tech; TE Dae’Quan Wright, Perry, from Virginia Tech; WR Daveon Walker, Warner Robins, from Vanderbilt; WR Bryce Bailey, Bleckley County, from Middle Tennessee; QB Dexter Williams, Mount de Sales, from Indiana; WR Damare Franklin, Veterans, from Alcorn State

          Mercer quarterback Carter Peevy announced on social media he is transferring after four years, and will have two years of eligibility as a grad transfer. Mercer DB Cameron Sims is in the portal, too.
