Mayhem get revenge on the road in OT

 

Putnam County, Mary Persons lead Central Georgia in state XC meet

          It was a quiet day at the GHSA state cross country meetโ€™s second edition as far as Central Georgianโ€™s finishing in the top 25 overall.

          Veteransโ€™ boys finished 11th in 6A boys, Northside and Houston County 21st and 22nd. Veteransโ€™ girls were 22nd.

          West Laurensโ€™ boys took 16th in 4A, Perry 27th. The Raiders girls were 24th, the Panther girls 25th.

          Gabriella Hoover of Mary Persons took fourth in Class AAA girls, 28 seconds behind champ Weezie Moore of Wesleyan. The Bulldogsโ€™ Kolbi McBrayer took 11th, helping Mary Persons to fourth place as the only Central Georgia team involved.

          Mary Personsโ€™ boys finished 15th in 3A, Peach County taking 22nd.

          Hannah Erickson of Putnam County took eighth in Class AA girls, teammate Kayla Johnson taking 20th.

          The War Eagles took seventh, ACE finishing 20th.

          ACE had the top boys team finish at 15th in AA, Washington County 24th.
