          Ella Dowd fanned nine and gave up two hits, while getting two hits. Chloey Davey and Mackenzie Crumley had three hits each for the Panthers, who stole seven bases.

          Allysa Jones struck out six for the Raiders, who got a 2-for-2 game from Makayla Register, who had two RBI. Howard (2-4/0-1) hosts Spalding on Thursday and West Laurens (7-3/4-0) visits Perry on Thursday.

          Stuart McCurry had a streak of seven service aces while Taylor Wilson had five kills in the win over Central, Olivia Deese adding five assists. Deese had eight aces and six assists against Southwest, with six kills from Wilson.

Macon puts two on All-Coastal team, Central Georgian picked

          The Macon Bacon put two players on the 56-member All-Coastal Plain League team.

          The first and second team each had 28 players.

          Mason Minzey made the second team at designated hitter/utility, and Bryce Matthews was one of seven second-team outfielders

          West Laurens grad Nolan Daniel, who pitches at Purdue, was one of eight players from Savannah picked, Daniel a second-team selection.
