          Former Westside defensive back Jehlen Cannady is transferring from Georgia, where he was a preferred walk-on, to Tulsa, where he visited last month. He played in two games last season and recorded a solo tackle and two assists.

Savannah takes down Macon again

          Savannah marched out to a 6-1 lead after four and Macon’s rallies fell short in the Bananas’ 6-4 win at Luther Williams Field.

          The visitors outhit the hosts 11-5 and got a 15-strikeout night from four pitchers. Savannah got to Macon starter and FPD grad Austin Emener for all six runs, reliever Carter Gannaway following with six strikeouts in three innings.

          The teams play Friday night in Savannah.
