Honor Roll/Alumni Update
Houston County’s Burress, Harrelson earn A-A honors
The kudos continue for Houston County baseball standouts Drew Burress and Gage Harrelson.
The latest: All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball.
Harrelson is a repeat selection, making last year’s team, along with Bear teammates Brodie Chestnutt and Coleman Willis
Burress and Harrelson are joined by eight Georgians, all from metro Atlanta.
Burress was named the Prep Baseball Report’s state player of the year and to its All-America team after batting .486 with 54 hits, 73 RBI, 17 homers and 45 runs.
Burress is headed to Georgia Tech and Harrelson to Texas Tech.

Savannah walks it off over Macon
A triple and single gave Savannah a 3-2 walk-off win over visiting Macon in Coastal Plain action.
The game was tied at 2 after four until the Bananas’ game-winner. Savannah improved to 17-5 while Macon fell to 10-12.
Macon outhit Savannah 12-8, led by three-hit games from Jack Malone and Mason Minzey.
The Bacon host Florence on Friday.
