The Gryphons captured the region championship with the win. Grant Edwards’ sac fly in the fifth brought in JD Lewis with the lead run. Edwards picked up a complete-game win with 10 strikeouts, one walk and two hits.

Bleckley County 15, Southwest 0; Bleckley County 18, Southwest 0

The Royals clinched the region title, going 12-0 in 3-AA play. JR Fordham had an inside-the-park homer in the nightcap.

Crisp County 9, Peach County 4

Drew Bailey had two hits and two RBI for the Trojans.

Houston County 6, Lee County 4; Houston County 13, Lee County 1

The Bears won their third straight region championship. Elijah Smith drove in one run and Blaydn Alaniz two in Houston Count’s three-run sixth to win the opener. Smith had two hits and four RBI, Alaniz two and two. Drew Burress drove in six runs on two hits in the nightcap. Andrew Dunford and Garrett Hortman drove in two runs each.

Mary Persons 15, Central 0

The Bulldog got three hits from Aric Mock, two hits from Ryan Jenkins and Cooper Mitchell, and a grand slam from Thomas Brooks. Brooks and Brycen Horne fanned 10 with two walks in four innings.

Perry 9, Rutland 0

Brayden Long and Tyler Newhouse had two hits each for the Panthers, who led 5-0 after one.

Upson-Lee 16, Sumter County 0

Evan Helms went 4 for 4 with three RBI and two runs to lead the 12-hit Knights attack. Jackson Blakley and Seth Thomas drove in two runs each. Blakely struck out 11 in four innings.

Veterans 5, Warner Robins 1; Veterans 10, Warner Robins 2

Jamey McDaniel and Jarrett Pierce had two hits apiece for the Warhawks, who got enough with three in the first. Cody Daugherty whiffed seven in the complete game. Ty Tyson went 3 for 3 with two runs and two RBI.

Washington County 10, Dodge County 1

Westfield 4, John Milledge 2

The Hornets scored two in the top of the seventh on a wild pitch and Cole Miller’s single. Zane Childree had two hits for Westfield, which got eight strikeouts from Jake Cantebury.
