Macon TD Club/Kirby Smart update
The date for Georgia head coach Kirby Smart’s visit as the speaker at the Macon Touchdown Club’s year-end jamboree has been set, for Feb. 21, but ticket availability to the public is a few weeks away.
TD Club executive director Bryant Longshore addressed inquiries about moving the jamboree to a larger location than the Methodist Home for Children and Youth on Pierce Ave. in an email to members on Tuesday and a day later emailed them that the date had been set.
He said there have been no plans to move the event, which raises money for the Club’s scholarship fund, to a larger venue. Once a number has been determined for members, sponsors, award winners their guest, the club will announce public ticket sales.
