Around/About Central Georgia
Baldwin home opener moved
The good news was that Baldwin’s football stadium is getting brand new turf.
The bad news is that it’s still getting new turf. Still.
The stadium isn’t’ ready yet, so Baldwin’s season-opener at home against Liberty County is now a road game, in Hinesville.
The project, costing about $1 million, started in June after graduation, and then was slowed by rain.
So, now Baldwin starts off at 3A Liberty County, AA Washington County, and 5A Ware County, before breaking the seal on the new turf on Sept. 10 against AA Southwest.
The Braves are also at home against Rutland, Howard, and Perry.
